The DOI Handbook is the primary resource for information about the DOI System (DOI https://doi-no.org/10.1000/182 points to the latest version). It explains the DOI System from both business and technical perspectives and helps the community understand the system while supporting Registration Agencies (RAs) in delivering services based on it.

Please note that the DOI Handbook is currently being actively revised to incorporate updates from the forthcoming ISO 23424:2022 Standard revision (ISO/DIS 23424), which is expected to replace the current standard soon.
